Cant log out of window manager and log back into kde

Hi was trying out some of the window managers on my Knoppix/Debian install tried one called i think "larssomethingWM", but this thing is either super lame or corrupted in some way, there seems to be no way to access any menus to run apps or log out. All there is is a thin panel at the bottom and to the right 2 tabs that do nothing more than change letters from a to d when clicked on any one use this WM and know of a key combination to log out. Or is there a way to enter into a text based system upon booting noppix/debian to boot back into Kde by a key combination, there is no safe mode in grub.

CTRL+ALT+F1 - console mode
CTRL+ALT+F7 - Desktop Env

The CTRL actually isn't needed. It's simply ALT+F7.

As for your problem, try restarting X. You can usually do this with CTRL+ALT+Backspace. If this doesn't work, you can always open one of the pseudo-terms (CTRL+ALT+F1 through F6) and restart it manually.
