cant get fedora installation to boot on old aptiva
hey all,
since i was first turned on to linux a few years ago i have been installing it on all my friends and relatives computers for them. i am doing a job for my friends younger brother, who has an old ibm aptiva. its got a 200mhz pentium and 32 mb of ram, so i figured linux should run much better than windows and is an optimal choice. however, it will not boot my fedora core 2 install cds, which i know work cause i have used them many times before. it will boot the aptiva factory recovery cd however. if i boot from floppy i dont know how to start the install from the "boot:" prompt. i type linux install, it runs vmlinuz...etc then just says ready. if someone could just help me get started on this install i would be greatly appreciative. thanks in advance :-)
