can't get back to GUI

FYI, I'm completly new to Linux. I'm running dual boot WinXP with Mandrake 9.1.

OK, I added my network printer and had to install several packets. Now when I try to boot into linux all I get is the Console. How can I get to the GUI? Thanks in advance.

You can type:

startx

Or if you wan't to boot directly to the gui again you can edit /etc/inittab and change:

id:3:initdefault:

to

id:5:initdefault:

3 is the text login and 5 is the gui login.
