Can't download linux drivers from nvidia

Sorry about this - I found a "Similar Thread" a few minutes ago but cannot find it again and either got something wrong or did not remember all the details.

I am trying to download the latest nvidia linux drivers to install in Suse 10.1. I go to the UK download page, accept the licence but when I get to the download itself, it simply shows as text in my browser, whether Firefox 2 or IE7.

I guess this is a simple one but I can't think how to get round it.

Thanks guys.

Mike

Thanks for the reply Nylex but I am still confused. Having chosen the linux driver from the dropdown menu on the nvidia homepage, I get to a page which contains a link at Step 2: Download. Is this the link I should save? It is actually this:
http://www.nvidia.co.uk/content/lice...-9631-pkg2.run

and it saves it as a .asp file. What do I do with that?

Thanks again

On that page, there's an Accept button. If you right-click that and then "Save Link As...", you'll be able to save the file.

Thumbs up Solution found!

Nylex - thanks for that - 3D now functioning nominally. I should have said "in words of one syllable"! Now, and only if you can spare the time, can you explain why the driver appeared as text instead of downloading and why what you said worked?

It reminds me of the old days, using kermit and having to enter "binary" before attempting a download
