Everything went fine for me with the retail OS X 10.3 cds, just not the burnt ones. Though, when I originally had a lot less memory than I do now (320mb), it crashed a few times during the install.

Years go by...
Tonight I tried installing Debian and it failed on installing yaboot.
but I found something interesting:
Code:
Hi,
I was able to successfully boot debian installer on a old iBook 300
clamshell from an USB-key with two modifications regarding the
instructions on [1]:
1. I had to shorten the business card iso image name so it ended with
the propper extension name (.iso)
2. instead of issuing the command suggested on [1] "boot
usb0/disk:2,\\:tbxi" on openfirmware i issued "boot
usb0/hub@1/disk@3:2,yaboot"
I cannot perform the installation wright now because I have to do some
backup stuff. When I can I would propably fill a bug report on
installation-guide-powerpc, is that wright?

Same proble one twist. I picked this thing up at an auction And found out it had no os. Didn't think it would be a problem but It tured out to be hell. basically I can only work out of firmware what do I do?
System Specs
Clamshell iBook (orange)
300Mhz PPC, 64MB RAM
100Mb/s Enet, Sinlge USB, CD-ROM
OS none
not that computer savvy so if a solutions found above please fell free to yell at me.
