Hello,

I'm running MDK 9.1, and I'm trying to run userdrake. However, it will not load at all. I open up xterm and type "userdrake". It gives me the "enter root passwd" prompt thingy, and i type in my passwd, click ok....and then it gives me this error message:

userdrake: error while loading shared libraries: liblber.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

A quick "locate liblber.so.2" reveals no such file anywhere on my system. I downloaded the libldap2-2.0.27-4mdk.i586.rpm file (which is supposed to provide the file) and run it; this tells me "everything already installed". I force the install with urpmf, and then still no such file...I'm at my wits end...can anyone tell me what's going on?

You need to also install openldap-libs possibly as well.. not just openldap2... Not totally sure really..

Also maybe you need to update your libs with ldconfig so it finds the new files, etc.

well the libs were already installed (and i ran ldconfig)...for some reason it still didn't show up under "locate"....but I found an rpm for this thing..i guess it was an updated version or something...but it installed and now it's working great ...thanks for the help :-)
