Unhappy Cannot Access CDROM Mount

Hi All,

I have just installed Mandrake 8.2 and have began with installing Oracle.

I have to run a script from the CDROM as ORACLE user. I have created this ORACLE user no probs.

I see that I already have /mnt/cdrom and /mnt/cdrom2 for my DVD and CDROM respectively.

Problem I have is that only ROOT can see the /mnt/cdrom2 directory which I need to run a script from.

How do I get to run /mnt/cdrom2/runInstaller.sh with the ORACLE user?

I have tried setting new permissions on the /mnt/cdrom2 link but it says I cannot cos it is read only.

HELP!!

Did you chmod as root? Is your / mounted as ro or rw?
