Can you listen to streaming audio with Linux?

With Windows I used to listen to streaming audio on the net. A few days a go I installed Redhat 9.
I was going to dule boot but I LOVE Linux so much I want to not have to install the "other OS". Can you listen to streaming audio with rh9? What do I have to do? Thank you, Oswald.

I've used the mplayer browser plugin to listen to streaming audio in the past. It doesn't work all of the time and is even more tricky with video.
I've also used xmms in cases where I could click the file download it and load it into xmms.

mplayer plugin works better and better. Realplayer is a must as well. You should disable mplayer plugin handling the Real streams.

xmms will stream anything, provided you have the right codecs installed.

Theres a player called freeamp that will play mp3s like winamp does, thats what i use nowadays.

The newer version based off the same source code is called Zinf (stupid name) but is basically the same as freeamp, and located here.
