Can someone kill INIT process?

Can someone (say root user) kill INIT process by using "kill" command?
What will happen if INIT gets kill?

I believe INIT is a system process and therefore cannot be killed

Lightbulb You CAN kill init!

It is possible to kill the INIT process using this command (as root):
Code:
killall -6 init
The "-6" option means "to kill with exit status 6 (abort)."
This will result in a kernel panic.
