CAN I MAKE A SECONDARY _(slave) DNS FROM A PRIMARY (master)??

i want to know .. this..

i have a DNS server master that is remote managed from other city... i have no count of

root. or user...

i want to make a secondary (slave) server for redundancy ...

i heard about a zone transfer.. in linux... i want to know if you have an idea about
this... to make a secondary dns server...

i use slackware... the actual server has red hat.
