Can I install linux from Windows xp, using IE

I have a running Windows xp session and want to install Ubuntu 12.04 using I.E.
Can I do this through I.E., directly on-line, using the resource on this site?

Here are easy instructions to install Ubuntu "inside of" your current Windows without any partitioning or permanent changes:

Internet Explorer is not the "right tool for the job" in my opinion/experience.

No. You can download the installation ISO file(s), but installing an OS is a lot more than what a web browser can manage.

Thanks everybody. I sort of guessed that but wanted a lazy way out.
I've got two computers and I'm tinkering around with the one less used.

depending on your machine (processor speed/ram) if you want to just 'play with' linux, you could try downloading Virtual Box and installing linux in a virtual machine
