Can I get the sha1sum of the data burned to DVD?

I've FINALLY gotten the FC5 DVD to burn on a different computer using suspect software under Windows (called CD BurnerXP 3), and I'm wondering if I can check the sha1sum of the final written product. I know that k3b does this somehow to confirm burns (unfortunately my Linux computer wants to horribly underrun the buffer all the time), but I've never round a way to do it without that tool after the CD/DVD has been burnt.

Thanks in advance for any help.

edit: Oh, and I know that the FC5 distro has the disk test, but my experience with that has never been good. I just know this DVD is going to fail it....

You could make an iso image from that DVD and then get the sha1sum of that.
Code:
dd if=/dev/dvd of=~/dvd.iso
sha1sum ~/dvd.iso

Haha, thanks for the suggestion. That's basically what I finally did, since I was so worked up over it. All worked well. It actually passed the self-test, too, so maybe that's not a problem with this distro.
