Can I create a special KDE Panel Applet?

Hello All,

I am running Suse 9.3 with KDE and want to have something running in the taskbar panel to show the ip address of the box ( as an identifier ) I have a script that brings up an xwindow with the ip address in it but wanted to have the result of the script show in the panel. Simular to showing the clock in the panel.

ANybody have an idea how I can do this?

Thanks,

Steve

If you don't get a good response, post your question in some of the KDE developers mailing lists or read documentation at the KDE developer websites.
