Can Fedora Run All Programs that Redhat Entprise Can?

Hi,

I want to setup my linux box so that I can run a Java-based application server. However the products system requirement is Redhat Enterprise Linux 2.1 or 3.0. Should I still be able to run the program? Are there certain libraries or packages that are on Redhat Enterprise that I can't get for fedora?

thanks.

I doubt it. Its unlikey that RedHat Enterprise comes with any proprietary software that is needed to run this Java-based application. I'm not 100 percent sure though.

I just migrated my web-application from win2k to Fedora Core 2.
I installed Fedora Core 2 with a minimal installation (got rid of the
standard installed packages), and installed then MySQL, Apache,
Tomcat (2 instances) and my web application. Works fine so far.
It's just a bit tricky though when you use the AWT library from Sun,
then you need to have an X-Server running (I'll post a separate thread
for this later). So, theoretically yes, but as always, the devil lies in the details...
