Hello everyone, I have been trying to install make with the provided shell script named build.sh.in,which if you Google appears as the first link. The problem is I get an error message saying path not found or something like that.can someone please help me figure this out? This the error message at the terminal: build.sh.in: line 66: @CC@: command not found. But if I remove this CC and put cc this appears: -DALIASPATH="@prefix@/share/locale@PATH_SEPARATOR@.": No such file or directory
Well, the reason is, because I have a distro that brought none of the development tools.
The name the distro is attack pup v1.Furthermore I don`t even have apt-get,aptitude synaptic package manager etc;. I don`t have make but I'm wanting to compile ndiswrapper for my wireless card.I ran into all the following just for this, having to download GCC and also having to download make.Everything would be easier if that shell script would make make.Any ideas why the shell script is spitting that error?
I don`t have internet because of the wireless card issue.I download the tar balls from my nexus7 then put them into my windoze machine then put them on a USB and transfer them to the linix laptop.GCC to me about an hour or 2 just to transfer to the USB in order to move to the laptop. The reason was because I used 7zip to in gzip then untar it.
I found the package manager gslapt and lighthouse pup or something like that.but they still don`t have make and I don't have internet on the laptop,so the only way I could install make is by making the script work, can someone post a corrected version of that script? Than I can download it hetre from my nexus 7 , and move it to the PC then to the laptop.
If you don't already have a C compiler on your machine, the GCC sources are probably useless to you. You will need a precompiled binary version of GCC. The version of gcc that the application you are trying to compile wants. This is the reason for distros with package mgrs. You can also have different versions of gcc on a machine.
