Can't use LiveCDs because keyboard isn't recognised

Hello, I'm trying to use some liveCDs (kubuntu, kanatix, etc), however I'm unable to boot them. The reason is that after the cd/dvd is read I'm required to press enter to boot from the liveCD but my wireless keyboard isn't recognised so I can't press enter. This also happens when I'm booting from my installed distro, the keyboard won't work until just before the login screen. Is there any way to force the liveCDs to start or will I have to resort to getting a wired keyboard?

Hrmm... interesting, let me dwell in this conundrum, while Im at it... what sort of keyboard are you using? I mean, specifics mate, as in brand, model and whatnot.
