can't successfully copy dvds
 

I have figured out that I need libdvdcss2 to copy encrypted dvds, but when i play them back on my dvd player or with mplayer, I notice that they either freeze or frame jump half way through the movie. Is this a dual layer problem or am i missing software or am I simply copying them wrong. I use k3b and choose copy dvd from the tools menu. k3b recognizes the encrypted dvd and copies it anyway. When it done it tells me that it burned successfully. Please I need help this is driving me nuts.

I haven't tried copying dual layer discs before so I'm just guessing, but I think your guess is right. If you've ever noticed on the back of a dvd case in small print it often mentions that some players may experience a slight pause due to layer transition. Perhaps k3b is running into that transition and copying that pause/freeze onto the new disc.
