Did you select the "show hidden files" option in konqueror?

Second, it sounds like you have auto-mount enabled. If you do like homey mentioned and select the "show" hidden files, it should work.

Regards!

I know

1) Make sure you have Rock(y?)Ridge and Joilet extentions compiled into your kernel, or loaded.

2) The files MAY begin with ".", in that case a "ls -a" will list em

3) Thats all I have got

how do I check this? I searched for them, but got no results.

It's pretty weird. With gnome everything works fine, also hidden files.

But I use normaly KDE and Konqueror can not open any cd's anymore.

Thanks

Gnome and KDE use the same kernel. So it is there. Type in at the command prompt
Code:
ls -la
That's in capital letters LS -LA

PS.: Did you follow prdallan's very sensible suggestions?

Yeah, I checked prdallan's suggestion. Konqueror is configured to show hidden files and automount is not activated.
The problem is now, that I can't mount and see any files, not even visible files.

When I typed ls -la in the command line no Rock(y?)Ridge or Joilet extentions were listed.

What do I have to do now?

Thanks

Sorry that was too short from me.

Since you can see the files with Gnome, it is not a problem with Joliet and Rockridge in the kernel, forget about those.

And use ls -la /dev/cdrom for your CD-ROM. But that wont help any either I just realized, since Gnome sees the files ls will probably as well. You still have to mount correctly and I have not a clue anymore sorry .

<edit> That's not right either, since Gnome sees them it is mounted...
What now?

Maybe you can make another, small (a few megs), similar cd image with hidden folders (sic) and try to burn it onto a cdrw.

If it shows the same symptoms, put it up or attach it, or maybe put it on a website or a server of some kind, if you have one. Or mail me at williampoetra_NOSPAM_@yahoo.com, I'll try it.

@wpyh the problem right now is that I can't mount any CD's with KDE Konquere anymore. When I use Gnome with it's filemanager I can mount CD's without anyproblems and can also see hidden files.

The only problem is that I like KDE more than Gnome...

Thanks
