can't reinstall Linux

Hi, i'm trying to re-install linux from CD but once the installer is loaded linux instalation disk displays a window that says:" There is no a RedHat Linux disk oyur drive...." or something like that. So, this server used to use webmin, i'm thinking in maybe a hacker that does not allow to re-install linux, another issue is that if i try to open any of system tools program, it just doesn't do anything. Please help me if somebody knows where and how can i fix this. Thanks a lot.

If you're doing a fresh install off the install disks, there really shouldn't be anything a hacker could have done (unless he had a key to your house and burned corupt cds ). If you want to be absolutely sure of this, then you can format your drive first. Beyond that though, i'd reccomend trying a different install disk.

>or something like that

You are more likly to get a helpful response if you quote the _exact_ error message.

I would suggest that your disk is corrupted.. get a copy off a friend or download a new ISO image and burn again.

This happened to me once and i had no friends with the CD's etc and couldnt use the linux box so I had to go through the tedious process or removing everything, installing windows, downloading the ISO and then burning it... then tried again... hahah sounds long and tedious cause it was :P
