Hi all

I've been happily printing for months (years?) on my Compaq Presario laptop via cups. I have a USB Lexmark E232 printer and have always just pressed 'print' and away I go....

Today, it doesn't work! (I can't remember if I've updated anything since I last used the printer.)

I used the PCLinuxOS Control Centre to check settings and on pressing 'Test Printer' it works fine. Eventually I removed and then reinstalled the printer - but still it won't print in OpenOffice (2.3).

I tried printing in Kwrite - no problem, and then a picture in Konqueror and again - no problem. It just seems to be Open Office. The default printer in OOo is the Lexmark one.

I'm very puzzled. Anyone?

You can runto add a printer or reconfigure an existing one in OO

Thanks for the reply.... although I don't understand it!

However, before googling and investigating further, I decided to try printing again today - it worked first time!!
