Can't find init file for database "SID_NAME"


I have installed oracle9i on RH Linux8.0.When restart the machine,i'm unable to start "dbstart".I got the following error "can't find init file for database "SID".Already i copied that init{SID_NAME}.ora into $ORACLE_HOME/dbs and changed /etc/oratab file as sid:$ORACLE_HOME:Y.How can i work with database.
