can't connect to the internet:linux dont read my internet address
 
hi everybody,
i have loaded linux on my computer, but i've been not able to connect to inter. the program says that it can't find ny internet address and advices me to add it to the "hosts" file but i even dont know how to...
i would appreciate any help from you

Is this an error your getting when starting Gnome perhaps? If so you need to add 127.0.0.1 to your /etc/hosts file or possibly your DHCP name given to you by your ISP to that file.
