Can't autologin with kdm because it requires password

Can anyone tell me PLEASE if there is a way to automatcally login through kdm with a user who has a password?
(ie login with a saved password)
kdm allows users to automatically login if they have a passwordless username, but fedora won't let me create a user without a password.

I could do it with xdm but xdm doesn't seem to let me start kde, only gnome and its affiliates (ie gnome, windowmaker etc).

PS. I use fc2

In Control Center-> System Administration-> Login manager

Goto 'Convenience" tab- click on Administrator Mode button, enter root password, then can autologin whatever user

Works for me w/password

Yeah i gave that a shot but I just kept getting the error "Authentication failed". I tried it with and without the "passwordless login" ticked. Both had the same result. Am I able to manually list my password in the kmdrc file?

Actually, I finally got it working!
I just had to upgrade to the latest version of kdebase.
