I am having trouble running KDE/XWM. whenever i run either, it gives me a "Connection Refused (errno 111): unable to connect to X server". The video card i have is supported by my version of X, i set it up, but it won't run. can anybody help?

do a "startx 2> startx.err" and post the message here, cuz there should be more errorlines around this message, this only indicates there is an error, nuttin else.
also, what X version, what card & what X server?
