C-Media cm8738
 

I have a C-media cm8738 sound card, running Mandrake 8.2.

Linux detects my card, and the sound output is working. My issue is that the card is a 5.1 surround card, and i have myself a nice set of 5.1 speakers, but i can only get playback through 2 of them, the ones which are connected to the port you would use if you only had two speakers.

I need to somehow let the system know that the soundcard has mutiple channels. Can anyone help?
