burning music CDs
 

ok, this question might be a little lame... but here goes.

i've been trying for awhile to burn music CDs using Xcdroast, but i just plain can't figure out how. i have the ability to burn ISOs (burned redhat and slack discs) but that's it. i figure out how to burn music, data, or any other cd types. i've searched online for manuals, read how-tos, searched this forum, and read the READMEs... nothing gives any info.

so could someone please help me out? i'd really appreciate it. thanx :-)

ahh it's just easier to use a nicer program. xcdroast is just obtuse and annoying imho. try gtoaster gcombust or eroaster. if you want to burn mp3's you might want to stream them to standard wav files firt, but most programs will do that for you automatically.

I've been using CD-Bake-Oven recently. It actually got a fairly crap review (apparently there were too few functions), but if all you want is a nice and simple GUI for burning CDs, I'd recommend it. To my mind it feels a bit like Nero.

i tried cd bake oven, and am able to burn non-iso image cds (i.e. mp3 discs), but is there a way to burn music cds by using mp3s? it's really irritating having to convert mp3 files to wavs before burning when programs like nero do it for you. :-)

When I have some mp3's that I need to burn to an audio cd I use cddoit.
