Burning Live CD to Mini DVD

Technically I want to burn a live CD onto a mini DVD+RW. I tried burning a Knoppix CD onto a Mini DVD+RW. It gave me hassles initially. Eventually I found a program that would burn it (I think DVD Decrypter) but it didn't come out right. I haven't gotten any computer to successfully boot up with the disc so it's obviously not an easy process.

So does anyone know how I can burn a live CD onto a DVD+RW?

I think you would have to create a directory, unpack the cd iso into that directory, then use the growisofs command to make a dvd iso, which you should then be able to burn to dvd.
