burning for stereo system
 

sooo....

I can't play mp3 's on my stereo, I can't play my cd-r/w 's on my stereo.

but those files from "Puretracks.com" are "red book" compilant and threfore can be burnt with a cdr/w, and played by my (beloved) stereo...

How do *I* make red book cd's that I can play in my stereo.

If I'm totally wrong, how can I play my cd's in a conventionnal stereo?
It'll be nice to play it in the car on the way to that 3 hour road trip in two days...

If your stereo doesn't support CD-R/CD-RW, there is nothing (that I know of) that you can do to make them work. You could try different brands of CDs, since they all use slightly different dyes, and if you are lucky you might hit on one that your CD player can read.

If you are having troubles with get the CDs to play you will find that burning slower is better. Use CDRs not CDRWs.

hope it works, at worst I lost a cd and get bored for the trip...;)
