Btrfs, grub & dualboot

I plan to install a debian in dualboot with ubuntu (that I'm currently using).
I would like to use the btrfs file system.

I know that for a single OS installed, I need to have a /boot partition (I don't think grub is able to load a btrfs partition).
In my case the grub (v1.98) would stay on the ubuntu partition, not the debian one. So do I still need to have a different partition for /boot and the system ?

Thank you

If you intend to keep the distros (completely) separate then yes, you'll need another /boot. And you'll need to chainload to it.
