Exclamation bt Dongle


hi!
i hav connected a usb dongle to my linux fedora5 system. now the problem is that it is not detectting my nokia 3230[set bluetooth on in discoverable mode].so wats the prob?
i tried running following:

[root@miru zoneIT]# hcitool dev
Devices:
hci0 11:11:11:11:11:11

[root@miru zoneIT]# hcitool scan
Scanning ...
[root@miru zoneIT]#[with no results]


i hav turned on bluetooth file sharing from Applications > System Tools

do i need to install any drivers etc or need to make any configurations?
i m a newbie!

Only thing I can think of, in your Nokia under BT settings, is the phone "hidden" or accessable from all?

well i mentioned in my first post that my bluetooth is on in "discoverable" mode!!
so..?

My apologies, didn't read that as equiv. How about the other way around? Can you pair with your machine from your phone? Test with another phone? BTW, do your system logs say anything? Here's a thread http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=283029 that says you need to set a SELinux boolean to make it work. Your logs should show if that's the case.
