Browsing files on mobile phone (Nokia E72) over Bluetooth (LMDE 64bit)

I'm trying to access my phone (Nokia E72, Symbian OS) files using Bluetooth, on Linux Mint Debian 64bit (kernel 3.2.0-2).
Using obexfs -b <mac_address> /media/e72 works, but I can only access the files as root, both from command line and Thunar file manager (launched with gksudo). Is there a way to access them as an ordinary user? Does chown and/or chmod work with this type of file system? Running ls -l /media shows the permissions as drwxr-xr-x and the owner is root.

Another problem is that selecting any file will cause Thunar to load it into a cache or something, as the window freezes for some time and Bluetooth manager indicates heavy data transfer. This is especially problematic with large image files.

I also tried Wammu to browse the phone but it didn't work very well.

Is the problem solved and if so how did you correct it?

Not really, though obexfs works to an extent. I don't need to browse the phone very often and when I do I can use Nokia Suite on Windows. As far as I remember, USB cable connection works on Linux too. Not sure though...
