I have had some crashes as well. Most of the time when I click on a button but I haven't been able to find out what exactly causes it. For example when I post a new thread here and click the search for similar threads it crashed like 5 times in a row yesterday.

I can't find a log in ~/.mozilla/firefox

It doesn't give any error, just crashes sometimes on clicking some buttons(not any specific),

this is the main problem no error messages is available................

If you've found a button you can run mozilla-firefox from a terminal then you'll see the message in there. But I actually meant the error you got while updating.

Actually now I'm running from a terminal to see if I can catch the error and it doesn't close anymore for the things that would normally close it.

I had the problem again and the terminal message is Segmentation fault. What does that mean?

my firefox crashes somtimes when viewing certain streaming media with the mplayer plugin. so your crashes might be related to some unstable plugin or just bugs in firefox.
