boot single mode keyboard and mouse don't work
i am running suse SLES 11.4
i boot into single user mode via "SLES11_SP4 single" at the boot prompt during an EFI boot.
the splash screen is verbose, and it whips down to the
enter crtl-D to continue enter root password.
Up to there is normal, and i then am usually able to type in the root password.
however below that text on this particular dell pc i'm messing around on it's spits out something to the effect of...
found dell laser mouse, found dell usb keyboard.
that text looks harmless, gives me the impression linux sees a keyboard and mouse connected. but nothing typed on the keyboard works.
what causes this and is there a way around this?
