Thanks Shamen

Is '???' the partition? like hda1?
If so, which partition should I specify? boot partitioin?

Also can I do this to grub.conf? How?

Thanks very much

I've tried:

Linux Rescue

mkdir /mnt/test
mount -t ext3 /dev/hda4 /mnt/test
( - mount requires a file systems type;
- hda4 is my boot partition and ext3 is its type
- in the grub.conf there is "boot=/dev/hda4")

but when I tried:

chroot /mnt/test

I got this message:

chroot: cannot execute /bin/sh: No such file or directory

Please Help!

Thanks very much

Re: I have similar problem

Did you ever solve this? I have the same problem. If I boot from the other HD, I can get it to work (after switching the HD identifiers in grub.conf as well), but if I use ntldr (the windows boot loader), I get the same problem as you.

Thanks,

Chris
