boot penguin

I'm sure we've all seen that little penguin in the upper left corner when you boot a linux box with SVGA resolution, but I read something a while ago which told you how to change that. Does anyone know which file it is that gets displayed (Slack 9)?

TIA

at all? try adding this to lilo.conf and run lilo -v:

# VESA framebuffer console @ 1024x768x256
vga = 773

And I wonder if there's a max. size for that image, IE could I make a fullscreen image to show while it's booting? that would be dope.
