boot pc from a bootable-iso without a cd or usb-device

i got a question..
is it possible to boot into a livecd-system (say knoppix) from a fully working system without a cd-drive nor usb-devices ?
(ex using grub to boot from a iso-image located on /dev/hda5)

how do i do that ?

Haven't actually tried this, but it seems possible from reading the knoppix cheat codes.

But you need to setup a separate boot partition that can load a kernel and then use the knoppix cheat code bootfrom=/dev/hda5/knoppix.iso. Not sure how to automate adding the cheatcode to the new kernel boot prompt...

Google also mentioned doing this from Windows using Grub for NT, but again, I've never tried it...
