Boot Mint13 w/ UEFI Turned Off

Hi All,

I've given up on dual booting with Win7 b/c UEFI on my Pavilion has resulted in failed attempt after failed attempt and I'm tired of trying.

My Plan B is to turn off UEFI completely and use the old BIOS system to boot strait into Mint 13.

However, I have a question before I proceed.

I tried installing Mint 13 without setting up a "Reserved BIOS Boot Area", but the BIOS didn't recognize Mint 13 on the system and didn't boot into anything. I didn't set up a "Reserved BIOS Boot Area" because I'm not sure if doing so will mess up my Win7 boot loader so I can't get back into Win7 after re-enabling UEFI.

If I turn of UEFI and set up a "Reserved BIOS Boot Area" in order to boot into Mint 13, should my Win7 boot loader be left unscathed so I can still boot into Win7 after re-enabling UEFI?

TIA...
