Boot an run linux on USB flash drive possible?
Hi,
I would like to get a link to a detailed howto for booting a linux system (preferably debian) from USB flash drive. Well it'd be better not just to boot it (the installer) but also being able to have a running and functioning basic system (just simple tasks: c compiler, ssh, no graphical interface at all) on it. Theother thing what I was thinkong about is a bootable CD-ROM what creates a ramdisk after booting where the system runs. I'm intrested in that one too. Any help would be great! Thanks! Zahoo |
It is possible. Take a look at Feather linux:
