BIOS plug and play

Hi, my bios does not list plug and play as an option and I was wondering if anyone could help me turn it off some other way.

Toshiba laptop (2003) with XP and Slackware 12.1.

In case you were wondering, I heard it was a solution to a SIOCSIFFLAGS problem.

Thanks.

Get the latest bios update and if that does not have the option, then ask their tech support about enabling the hidden (deliberately) things in the bios
