BIND -named.conf


I have having trouble with named.conf i want to include an external file and within the external file have an acl allowing internet access to those IP's within the acl list.

They say it cannot be done but named.conf includes a rndc.key file can anyone help.

Why would you want to "allow Internet access" using Bind? I think you need to be looking at what squid (www.squid-cache.org) can do for you.

we use squid as well but squid is used for non DHCP clients which i have sorted,

we used named.conf and BIND for DHCP clients.

I think what I'm not really clear about is HOW you use Bind to restrict Internet access for these clients? Maybe if you shed some light on this I might be able to help you solve your problem.
