Best processor under $80? Intel or AMD Running a small server/workstation

Hey guys.

Planning on building a small workstation/server to run linux on. Won't be playing any games. I will be chosing an inexpensive video card.

Was looking on newegg.com for processors. Keeping it under $80. Not sure what to get, or even brand preference. I am running a AMD64 2800 with XP/Linux, but my school has Intel, and those run nice too.

I will be matching with a motherboard in the $50-75 range.

Again, a small server to basically help me get better with networking at home as well as at school. Thanks.
