Bad bad crash every two weeks

It seems like every two weeks my system crashes. When it crashes it brings an annoying CRC error to my kernel. After I unsuccesfully attempt to get into my system 6-8 times, the kernel is usable again and I can work peacefully until two weeks passes again. Other times I reset my computer there are no CRC errors. I'm running Gentoo right now and my kernel is 2.6.7.13.
