Question backup help


How would i make a root disk and a backup for my firewall script?

Like for rescue purposes? Your installation cd can do that. There are also many other live-cd's that are good for that:

Yes i mean /etc/sysconfig/iptables.I don't unnerstand how i can work a rescue disk?I use red hat 7.1 and 8.0

A rescue disk just gives you a working Linux environment that you can use to fix problems on a Linux system that doesn't boot properly. The rescue disk could be your installation cd used in rescue mode, some other live-cd like I mentioned above, or a mini-distro that runs off of a floppy disk, like tomsrtbt:
