Background and Xterm transparent background

Hello guys,

I'm working with mandrake at home but at the university they do have the Solaris system installed...I've been wondering if it is possible to change the background in the Solaris system and put whatever picture we want...I've seen some guys do it but they told me that they had to change something in a file....if anyone could help me, it would be just to great :)

Also, final thing is that their Xtem has now a transparent backgroud and noone wanna tell how they did it...I would like to try it and again if anyone could explain to me step by step, that would be welcome :)

Thanxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I suspect the transparent xterm is actually an aterm.

There are a number of aps that change the wallpaper (root window) - xv, qiv, xsetbg. . . Take your pick!
