I use Debian 5 testing and tried compiling babytrans-0.9.1.
However I get following error:

checking for GLIB - version >= 1.2.0... no

I don't have glib-config but I have following GLIB

The missing library package name is ' libglib1.2-dev '

When configure asks for missing <name>, it usually
means : 'lib<name>-dev

I installed the libglib1.2-dev and I got to compile with success, however when accomplishing MAKE gives the following mistake:
