b---r-sr-t <-- Directory permissions after datarecover

b---r-sr-t 1 root root 115, 105 2006-50-08 21:23 .personal

The above is a directory which was recovered from a failed hard drive. Obviously, its not a directory anymore. But what is it? Why is the file size "115, 105"?

Is it recoverable?

The "b" at the start of the permissions indicates device node.

When you say "recovered" was this the result of an fsck? Or did you use specific recovery software? What type of filesystem was it recovered from?

re:

I am using TestDisk in Ubuntu. I found and restored a lost partition on a drive. Most of the old files were perfectly fine--except these directories which became block devices. Ext3.
