I use Avidemux to take screen captures from various video sources. I just noticed a few days ago that they is problem with color in the program. I would like some help correcting the color issues in the pictures I have already made.

This problem has been around since at least version stable version 2.3 (and is still present in their latest development SVN). Here is an example of what I mean:

Mplayer capture
Avidemux BMP converted to PNG
Avidemux JPEG

The first file is from Mplayer (their latest SVN from about 1 month ago). The other two are from Avidemux. The JPEG is direct from Avidemux and the PNG is the BMP file (I had to convert it to upload it, but the colors are the same).

Obviously the color output is a problem. I need to correct this. I have told the people at Avidemux (but they are busy at the moment and don't have time for this).

I have about 1000 BMPs I have saved from a ton of videos. If the difference in the picture is simple enough, I would like to write a script to use ImageMagick to just "fix" the color problems on all of my pictures, instead of having to redo all of them again.
