automnt read only??


heres my entry in fstab:

/dev/hda /mnt/WinXP vfat user,umask=000 0 0

is this a read only mount?? I'm just making sure... so that I wouldn't accidentally screw up my WinXP partition...

no that's full write acess, if you want complete read only, then set umask=222, if you want root able to write it only, set i to 022
