automated remote command execution using telnet

Hello all,

I wish to know how to execute a script or command on remote machine in linux in an automated manner. I can do it by using SSH but my requirement is using telnet.

I would appreciate if you could provide me the appropriate information.

Read up on expect. Automating logins is one of the basic examples which is in every expect FAQ.

Note this is a TERRIBLE way to get passwordless logins since the password has to be in the clear in your script. This contravenes many corporate security policies, not to mention legal requirements in some cases.
