Aurora Boot Screen

I have mdk 8.0. It seems it has a program called Aurora, which displays a graphical screen when booting up, and displays icons as it boots.

I would like to change that. Does anyone know how to change the display boot screen, and the icons? Or where they are stored?

:Pengy:

It's in the Mandrake Control Center, in the boot options I believe that where I found it, and turned it all off. You can also select a different boot choice at the lilo screen (linux-fb I think, can't remember right now, I'm @ work. :)), which will allow it to start in text mode. Not sure about changing the icons though :(

I tried all that, but it does not allow me to select a different wallpaper at boot. You either have to use what it gives you or not at all. I figured if I scould find the file that tells the system where to go for the wallpaper at boot, I should be able to change it.

Any other ideas?

It is actually possible to do that stuff but you need to do a bit of digging around in directories (i cant remember the specific directory) but it is basically just a collection of images which you can change as much as you like. Then again you could always do a search for Aurora to find the directory.
